In general terms, it’s an image, but not just any image. A render is an image created from a 3D model made with specific computer software. The objective is to represent an idea or project through a detailed and realistic digital image.

A render provides the possibility to visualize a scenario or object both in its initial and final stages. Many years ago, in architecture, clients had to imagine their projects through blueprints. Today, with new technologies, it’s possible to draw these plans in 3D format and visualize each space in a detailed environment, bringing imagination to reality.

Ideally, the starting point is a blueprint or floor plan. All available information is gathered from it to achieve the 3D modeling, and in collaboration with the client, materials, textures, lights, and objects of the scene are defined. Finally, all this information is processed, and through a process called ‘rendering,’ the final image is created, or what we now know as a Render.
